Looking for friends who will put effort into a friendship

Hi there!

Hope you are well. Before I found this website, I was actually going to google 'why friends did not respond to my messages (I meant never heard back)?' 'why I am the one who always initiates contact? 'how to deal with flaky friends?' 'A friend said she will check her schedule for a call but she never came back with a date. Why?' Maybe there has been a one-sided friendship in such cases, or we are just hanging out buddies, never friends. I know I may sound desperate but truth is, I still have friends who always reply to my messages, who initiate contact with me, who are reliable, and who do not need 2 months to schedule a phone call.

I did my study here, that's when I met and made most of my friends. I used to be very proud that I have so many activities every week and I know a lot of people. Then I moved to a different state during the pandemic, and that's when I start to struggle with making new friends and keeping in contact with old friends. It was difficult to make new friends in a new city during the pandemic. And I have been trying very hard to keep in touch with old friends. But sometimes no matter how much I want to keep in touch, we drifted away.

Ok. I'd better stop whining ;) I never thought I would need to look for friends online but here I am. My physical age is 39, and my mental age is 29 ;) I have many hobbies and I like to explore new experiences. I am happily married with no kids (yet). I would like to grow my friend's circles and I am looking for long-term friendships. I would like to settle down here and have some stable friends.

Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut aber ich denke Freundshaft hat keine Grenzen. Just drop me a line if you are willing to put the effort into maintaining friendship and let's just see where it goes.
